As I shared with those on Facebook, Nanci and I had an amazing few days at the Desiring God conference in Minneapolis. Francis Chan's message on Saturday night was anointed by God.

I think the following story (which we double-checked and appears to be true), along with the video, has particular significance for us as Christians. 

Randy Alcorn tells a story about a not-so-divine appointment.

They’re like modern Sherlock Holmes novels that deal in an edifying way with issues like abortion, racism, and faith and challenge readers to live in light of eternity.
