I came to know my friend Jim Harrell after he read my book Heaven. We talked on the phone, exchanged e-mails, and quickly connected at a heart level. Jim, a successful businessman, strong and athletic for most of his life, told me he really looked forward to reading If God Is Good.

I think adoption is hugely connected with the prolife movement. Being known as prolifers, we want to be completely consistent with our message. If we’re saying that these so-called “unwanted children” should be brought into the world, then of course we should be thinking of what we can do to care for those who need to be placed somewhere because their parents can’t care for them.

First, to realize it will not be as easy as you’re thinking. To do it well will require a great deal of work and experience and feedback in developing a God-given talent—assuming God has given you that talent or aptitude in the first place, which is a BIG assumption.

Answer from Randy Alcorn: Attacking fellow Bible-believing Christians is becoming commonplace. Spreading inaccurate information is epidemic.

Unfortunately, it is extremely difficult to get something professionally published. In fact, one publisher recently told us they don’t even accept unsolicited manuscripts any longer, they simply mail them back unopened. 

I can certainly identify with many of your doubts and questions regarding God’s sovereignty, our free will, etc. Although I was raised in a strong Christian family, I went through a couple of years of intense skepticism and cynicism when I was younger.

Recently reunited with my husband who had just returned after abandoning me for eight months with no intent to return, I believed that the Lord truly did desire to restore unto us “the years the locusts have eaten.” Trust was an issue, of course, but I desired more than anything a strong marriage that would one day be a beautiful testimony to other struggling newlyweds.
