I’m very pro-Israel, believing that God has a future purpose for the nation and that the U.S. should remain her steadfast ally. That doesn’t mean I believe the current nation of Israel, with its secular government, does everything right, and I think like every nation, including ours, it should be subject to evaluation and criticism.

Men, you are the leaders of Men, you are the leaders of your families. You might be reluctant to assume that role. You might even deny that it falls to you. Nonetheless, you are your family’s de facto leader, whether you choose to believe it or not.

When people who are living together visit our churches or small groups or homes, it is not our first job to try to correct their behavior, but instead to demonstrate the grace and truth of Jesus Christ.

There is no implication in scripture that anyone has more access to God. We will all experience his presence because he is omnipresent, unlike man who can be only in one place at a time.

The place we’ll live forever will be where God comes down to dwell with us, on the New Earth (Revelation 21:1-3).

This world is the closest thing to heaven unbelievers will ever experience, and the closest thing to hell believers will ever know. 

It’s really something you have to accept by faith, trusting that a measurable result will come, even if the book isn’t read by people for another two years.

The majority text (MT) really means “a statistical number larger than another text type” (i.e., called the MT = “Western Text”). The other major text type has fewer manuscripts, but they are older and some are better preserved.
